A space of its own – the Talisker Room. Unique and versatile. Intimate and distinctive.
Designed for private dinners, celebrations and smaller conferences, the Talisker Room offers a secluded setting when privacy is needed. With a large table for up to 18 guests, bespoke cabinetry and whisky from floor to ceiling, it is the perfect place for whisky tastings, long dinners or simply enjoying a fine dram in a comfortable armchair after your meal.
Located within Brygghuset Krog, the room is a natural extension of our passion for whisky.
A tribute to Talisker
The Talisker Room is a tribute to a place and a distillery that are close to our hearts.
Here you will find an extensive collection of around 100 different Talisker bottlings. The highlight is Brygghuset’s own private bottling – a Talisker 28 Year Old, Cask of Distinction, drawn from a single cask that yielded just 168 bottles.
Friends of Skye
In addition to whisky tastings, the Talisker Room is home to our whisky club, Friends of Skye.
Around 100 members have each invested in a handcrafted cabinet containing their own bottle of Talisker 28 Year Old. From this year onwards, members will also be offered whisky journeys and other curated whisky experiences hosted by Brygghuset.
Where coastlines meet
The Talisker Room is where two coastal worlds meet. Skaftö and the Isle of Skye share many similarities in both landscape and climate. Our setting by the sea, our cuisine and our identity all resonate with the character of Talisker – known for its spicy, maritime notes, hints of seaweed smoke and a distinct saltiness with a peppery finish.
Whisky tastings
Every autumn and spring, we host 3–4 whisky tastings, announced on our Facebook page and here on our website. Group bookings are available throughout the year, on most days of the week, except during peak season in summer and major holidays. The minimum number of participants is 8 for whisky tastings and whisky dinners.
There are many different themes to build a tasting around, and we are happy to tailor the experience to your preferences. A typical tasting lasts between 2–3 hours, depending on the format. (Please note: whisky tastings are not available during peak summer season.)
